Apparently this morning was the perfect time for stretching on the blanket that used to be mommy's when she was a baby. :) followed by some toe grabs on the changing table and just being cute. :)

Well this is a first...

So I was putting away breakfast items this morning and turned around to discover this! First time I've seen Little Man do this! :}

On the days that I work as a nanny, I often try to send the moms a quick picture through Instagram just to let them see how our day is going and that their boys are happy and safe. I realized I should also just pop these pics onto my blog, since it is my journal of sorts...just a quick, short update of our day. So from now on, when I send a pic to a mommy, I will try to put it on here as well...maybe that way you won't get quite so bored in between actual posts....! Lol. :)

Happy new year!!
Last year included the least amount of blog posts per year since I started this blog.  Not sure why but I suspect there will be more this year as there are already exciting things planned...namely, traveling hopefully sooner than later to bring home Little Lion and Little Monkey and then the adventure of nannying four little guys at once!  I'm sure that will make for some interesting posts!  :}

This past week I kept my Eli while his family was out of town. He was so much fun to be around. :) 

The other night I let him watch himself on the video camera on my phone and it reminded me of how interesting it is to watch a young child watch himself in a mirror or on a video like this. It is the only time in our lives where we are only captured by the wonder of our bodies and faces and can simply be happy with our reflection....as opposed to as we grow older and begin to only see the "not good enoughs" in our reflections and hear the judgment that the media and other sources heap on us. I wish we could more often put those aside and just delight in who God has created us to be...sweet chubby little bellies and all! :)

Yes, Eli, you are handsome, you are precious, you are a child of God.  Keep smiling at your reflection...because it is a reflection of Him. :)

And just because I think he is adorable...one more clip.  I think we read this board book approximately 63 times in the week that I was with Eli!  But he knows a few new animal sounds now! lol  And he really can say "doodle do!", just for the record...  :}
